Ridgebacks and are kept and bred in the most appalling conditions and like the greyhounds of Vietnam abused for dog racing.

CRUELTY IS NOT ENTERTAINMENT

Monkeys are being forced to participate in sickening stunts, including swimming races, at a tourist resort off the coast of Nha Trang, Vietnam. This is horrific animal abuse. A wide range of animals are being used for entertainment. THIS IS NOT ENTERTAINMENT AND IS ANIMAL ABUSE !!

The monkeys are even entered into swimming races on the island, where bears and other animals are paraded in front of the crowds.

“They also get the monkeys to race in a swimming pool. They put food at one end and these monkeys swim across.

"Bears are also used for performances, they ride motorbikes or normal bicycles.

Animals Asia have documented and witness this horrific abuse to theses poor animals

“We know they hit them in training as you can see the reaction in the animals. They give the animals threatening looks and show them the stick.

“From a young age they have been intimidated by trainers to perform these tricks. To get them to sit on a motorbike must take quite a lot of domination.

“Eventually they do it as they know they’ve received some physical punishment for not doing it in the past.”

The island has been named torchere Island due to the sheer abuse that the animals are undertaking this NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. No one wants to visit anywhere where animals are being abused daily for entertainment.

Monkey Island is just one of several circuses in Vietnam where animals are forced to perform ridiculous stunts in front of crowds.

Similar abuse takes place at the nearby Hoa Lan resort, which is also owned by the Long Phu Corporation, according to Animals Asia.

One shocking image shared by the anti-cruelty group shows a muzzled bear driving a toy buggy at the circus in Hoa Lan.

DOG / RIDGEBACK RACING

Dog/ Ridgeback racing is inherently cruel and the dogs are exploited and they suffer. Animal Cruelty Dog/Ridgeback racing is NOT Tourism and it will effect Vietnam's economy BADLY.

One of the main tourist attractions in Phu Quoc in Vietnam are the beaches and forests . But there is a dark side to this island that it is using dog racing to try to boost tourism.

Ridgebacks and are kept and bred in the most appalling conditions and like the greyhounds of Vietnam abused for dog racing. They sustain multiple  injuries when racing which causes them further pain and when they are no longer good enough /fast enough and are surplus to requirements are then sold on to the dog and cat meat trade.

This hellhole has dangerous racecourses including four racetracks with a length of 365 metres. These defenceless dogs are forced to take part in races and the poor dogs are being made to run 12 different courses, including  jumping high fences, swimming/wading through  dirty water ,tunnels and climbing walls. This is immensely cruel to it takes it toll on these innocent dogs.

There is a racetrack/breeding farm built in Cay Thong Ngoai Hamlet in Cua Duong Commune in 2000 and is it similar  the one  in Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province Vietnam. where  they abuse  greyhounds who are kept in horrific conditions. and killed once there are not good enough for racing and breeding.

We have received a huge amount of the support for the campaigns and the Global Protests were very successful as it raised the necessary awareness and great support from the public to ban greyhound racing and to ban the dog and cat meat trade in Vietnam and worldwide.

The protest brought the UK Vietnamese embassy to a stand still as they locked their doors including to the public and called for the police. We peacefully protested and in fact the police took our leaflets and were as horrified as we are about the Barbaric treatment of greyhounds and the sickening dog and cat meat trade.

This is the start of many protests to come. Thank you again for all your support.

The Horrific Dog and Cat Meat Trade in Vietnam

It’s estimated over 10,000 dogs a month are being transported across Vietnam in horrific conditions without food or water cramped into tiny cages . The majority of these dogs are stolen pets and strays who have been dog napped mainly fromThailand and any other regions . They are taken to holdings where they are fatter up for the kill and then transported to the barbaric slaughtered houses and live animal markets to be torched and skinned alive along side other suffering animals.

  • Nguyen Ngoc My has been responsible for the torture and massacre of greyhounds since the late 1990’s. He introduced Greyhound Racing a breeding facility Ba Ria in Vietnam.

    With the help of Phil Bell his wife and John Newell. Newall was also responsible for the over breeding of Greyhounds in China.

    Nguyen Ngoc My was granted a 30 year license in 1999 to development Greyhound Racing and Breeding and also is the Chairman of The Vabis a construction company thatIs part of. Barbaric Greyhound Racing industry It has been Operating in Vietnam since 1992, the Vabis group which in now these companies have all been funded by the murdering of thousands of Greyhounds .

    The 25 years license Nguyen Ngoc My was originally given is due to be reviewed in 2024. This license should NOT be renewed. He also is responsible for the 30 yrs Greyhound licence in Cambodia

    Nguyen Ngoc My is now proposing a state model for the betting industry to the Vietnamese Government . If this happens it he and the government will be responsible for countless amount of Greyhound, Dogs and Horses death , they will have their blood on their hands .

    Nguyen Ngoc My exported 800 greyhounds back in 2000 (21 years ago). Each greyhound can produce up to 10-12 pups . This would mean that there are thousand and thousand of Greyhounds that have been murdered for the last 21 years . Nguyen Ngoc My and his associates have the blood of thousands and thousand of Greyhounds on their hands.
